Fundraiser Announced in Honor of Officer Facio

Apache Junction Police Department will be hosting a fundraiser, in partnership with the Mesa FOP Lodge 9 Charity Foundation and Scottsdale FOP Lodge 35, to Honor Fallen Officer Gabriel Facio. Apache Junction High School 2525 S Ironwood Dr Apache Junction, AZ 85120 Date: 6/11/25 Time: 11 am — 7 pm

Apache Junction Officer Gabriel Facio fell in the Line of Duty

On June 2, 2025, Apache Junction Police Officer Gabriel Facio responded to a call for service involving a road rage incident where a male subject was brandishing a firearm at other motorists. During the encounter with the male subject, Officer Facio suffered a gunshot wound to the face and is in critical condition. On June 08, 2025 Officer Gabriel Facio has succumb to his injuries. Officer Facio will be deeply missed by all. The Fraternal Order of Police Phoenix Lodge 2 send our deepest thoughts and prayers to the family, and to the Apache Junction Police Department during this time of sorrow.

This announcement validates what our officers demonstrate every day — an unwavering dedication to their oath, a deep commitment to fair and ethical policing, and a willingness to serve despite intense scrutiny and pressure. The past several years has tested the resolve of the department and its personnel. Today marks a turning point — a moment to close one chapter and move ahead with renewed purpose.

The Fraternal Orde of Police Lodge 2 honors the fallen and those who serve during this National Police Week. The State of Arizona honored our heroes on May 5th in the 51st annual memorial.
