Statement From Phoenix Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 2 Regarding U.S. Department of Justice Investigation

The Phoenix Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 2 has represented police officers in the City of Phoenix for 85 years. Never before has public safety in our City faced such an existential moment. Should the Phoenix City Council vote “yes” to a consent decree that effectively hands over control of the Phoenix Police Department to the U.S. Department of Justice, that single political decision will have extremely dangerous consequences for every Phoenix resident, every police officer, every worker and every visitor to our city.

fraternal Order of Police Phoenix Lodge 2 wishes all of you a very safe and wonderful 4th of July. America is the Land of the Free, because of the Brave. That was true 239 years ago, when our Founding Fathers risked their lives and fortune by declaring our independence and continues today. To all our First Responders, Military and Health Care personnel who are working to keep us all safe, know that we are thankful for your service and celebrate your dedication!

Arizona Peace Officer Memorial Service

The service was held and the new memorial is a sight to see. As you know we had two Phoenix Police Department names added to the memorial this year. Thank you to everyone that turned out and to the Lodge 2 Auxiliary for being on hand and handing out the "You will not walk alone" cards and ribbons for the survivors as well as others.
