Officers Shot And Killed In 2021

The National Fraternal Order of Police reports that as of midnight on July 31, there have been 185 officers shot so far in 2021, 35 of whom were killed by gunfire. There have been 52 ambush-style attacks on law enforcement officers this year (+126% from 2020 YTD), which have resulted in 67 officers shot, 17 of whom were killed. On Saturday July 31, Phoenix Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 2 held the back to school event. This event with the support of the community, the Phoenix Police Department and volunteers was able to host over 50 student ranging from elementary to high school.
